This is always a worry for clients even before we discuss what they want. Let us answer You in the effective old-fashioned way. It’s Story time!

A long time ago, there were 2 brothers. The elder one was called Jim and the younger one Jam. They made and sold claypots to wholesalers for a living.

Jim charges a competitive rate of $100 for a claypot while Jam charges $50 for his. Jim’s claypot is of a superior quality compared to Jam’s. Jim’s customers made huge profits by selling their claypots to shops and households around the country. Given the excellent service and quality, everyone kept coming back to the wholesaler for more claypots. Jam though met with a different fate. His pots kept breaking easily and after a while, the wholesaler who bought from Jim was rout of business and so did Jim.

The moral of the story is? SIMPLE! :

Price is always secondary to Quality. Jam’s clients learnt an expensive lesson. Jim was positively cost effective with profits reaped by his clients amounting to thousands of dollars. In addition, a great service came with it – sustained profits! However Jam’s product although selling at a much lower cost, was very expensive as it gave his wholesaler huge losses and an even bigger headache.

Try not to JAM Your business. There are more important things than price alone.
